Abstract:

The University of Dundee is one of the leading centres for life science research in the UK, with an excellent rating for teaching quality and 5* RAE grading. Professor Mike Stark, one of the University's leading scientists, will deliver a presentation about the Life Sciences programmes and research, talk about some of the more recent developments in life science research at Dundee, including the new Drug Discovery Unit, and explain how the wide range of cutting edge research activity at Dundee offers high quality 'research-led' undergraduate degree programmes.

Undergraduate Courses include subject areas such as Anatomy, Biochemistry, Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Forensic Anthropology, Microbiology, Neurosciences, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, Physiology, Sports Biomedicine, and Zoology. There are 7 research divisions, each containing internationally recognised research groups investigating a wide range of topics including cell division, molecular parasitology, developmental biology and gene expression.
